Zachary Barrett is a poet and educator from Washington, DC. He has been a recipient of the Miriam McFall Starlin Poetry Prize and the Baltimore Three-Arts Club of Homeland Literary Prize. His work has been awarded a Gold Circle by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and has appeared or is forthcoming in Potomac Review, The McNeese Review, and The Lindenwood Review, among others. An MFA Candidate in poetry at the University of Oregon, he has spent his adult life working as a bartender, musician, writer, and high school lacrosse coach. He currently lives in Eugene, Oregon.
